James Forde has a wide-ranging commercial law and litigation practice that focuses in three major areas:
- Maritime litigation, including marine general liability defense, oil pollution and CERCLA defense, hull and machinery casualty investigation and defense, charter party and marine insurance coverage disputes.
- Maritime corporate and finance matters, including offshore incorporations, ISM compliance and ship finance.
- Construction litigation, including contract, performance and materialman bond disputes, construction site accident investigation and defense as well as labor dispute arbitrations.
Mr. Forde acted as in-house corporate counsel for a small Russian shipping company for two years.
